This is the home of the Solattimes spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is particularly use to tell the solat/salat/payers/namaz times during our air travel. To use this spreadsheet, you will need Microsoft Excel 97 or later.

I may post information about the spreadsheet here. I welcome all sorts of improvement to the spreadsheet. If you have tinkered with the spreadsheet to make it better, you can email me it at solattimes[at]gmail.com for uploading. I can also be reached at that address for comments.

NOTE : Some have misunderstood that the spreadsheet only works for Doha-Kuala Lumpur. Those are the default locations, but you can actually select many other major cities around the world or enter the latitude and longitude for the solat times calculation.

May Allah give us strength to be steadfast in our prayers, even during our journeys. Amin.

The idea of this tool is to minimise/remove the uncertainty with regards to prayer times during air journey, especially when one traversses several different time zones for some hours. The objective is to make things simpler, not harder, so as we can worship Allah as best and as practically possible. Islam is easy to practice and each practice, if done correctly brings us closer to Allah. If you are confident you can tell the time of fajr, maghrib and isya’ by looking out of your window, then by all means use that. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Remain conscious of Allah, according to the best of your ability.””
